CareAbout Connect
Accessibility
Last reviewed: April 2026
CareAbout is committed to making CareAbout Connect accessible to people of all abilities. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA across our public pages and provider portal.
What we’re doing
- Designing with semantic HTML and meaningful page structure so screen readers can navigate effectively
- Using clear typography, sufficient colour contrast and consistent layout
- Supporting keyboard navigation through all interactive elements
- Respecting users’ reduced-motion preferences
- Building forms with clear labels and error handling
What we know we still need to do
We’re committed to ongoing improvement. We’re working towards:
- A full external WCAG 2.1 AA audit of CareAbout Connect
- Closed captioning on any video content we add
- Plain-language content reviews
